Call Out For Artists

The Guesthouse Project presents Irish and international artists or groups with an opportunity to develop their work in the context of the Guesthouse Shandon for the duration of a year. The Guesthouse is a shared space set up to facilitate trans disciplinary activity and to enable artists to experiment, research, test out ideas and strategies for exhibitions, performances and publications and present work. The residency gives visiting artist a point of contact with Cork based artists and an introduction to Cork city and its arts culture.

The residency facilitates research and experimentation and the development of collaborations that create new approaches to artistic practice. We invite artists to find new ways of imagining, activating and utilising The Guesthouse building. We are interested in artists that have both solo and interdisciplinary practice and enjoy collaborating. This opportunity is open to all artists at any stage of their career such as experimental filmmakers, sound artists, musicians, visual artists, performance artists, researchers, culinary artists, creative programmers and digital technology artists, curators and anybody working within a specialist area of interest who want to work within the arts and with artists.
