A.I.R Programme

Our artist in residence programme facilitates Irish and international artists and forms the core of The Guesthouse Project. This self-guided residency offers artists or collaborative groups time and space to create and develop new work, experiment, research, test out ideas and strategies for exhibitions, performances and publications. The residency gives visiting artist a point of contact with Cork based artists and an introduction to Cork’s vibrant arts culture. Artists are facilitated with a loft apartment that contains a double bedroom and living area with a large desk space for working and two single beds and has a fully equipped kitchenette and shower room downstairs.

Artists may apply to use our workspace /studio space which is ocassionally available to create larger studio-based work . This space can also be used for exhibitions, performances, presentations and discussions. Residencies are on average one month long. These residencies are free of charge but we encourage residents to contribute to the Guesthouse programme by offering to host a lunch, do a presentation, workshop, performance or exhibition or contribute artist’s publications, C.D.s D.V.Ds or print works to our In-House shop.
