The Guesthouse operates an artist residency programme which allows artists to develop projects at/for the Guesthouse and in the broader context of Cork city. The residency is facilitated by a self-contained apartment and a flexible working space that encourage opportunities to meet and engage with other artists. The residency does not have a designated studio/workshop,but what we do have is an adaptable space suitable for desk space, work development, presentation and performance. This space can also be used for exhibition of work.

Artists are encouraged to contribute to the Guesthouse programme during their tenure by offering to either host a lunch, do a presentation, workshop, performance or exhibition.

The Guesthouse residency is programmed in three core strands:

Individual Application
Applicable to artists, independent curators, and other cultural producers with expressed interest in developing a project at the Guesthouse. To apply for an Individual Application residency at the Guesthouse, please submit your details and a brief proposal using the form below.

Organisational Application
Applicable to organisations that work with artists to develop and produce projects in Cork City. To apply for a Organisational Application residency at the Guesthouse, please submit details and a brief proposal using the form below.

Invited Applications
Applicable to artists nominated by members of the Guesthouse board to develop specific projects at the Guesthouse, culminating in an exhibition or presentation of work. Applications are by invitation only.

There are no deadlines for residency applications.
