Artists in residence programme July 2015 to July 2016

The Guesthouse offers Irish and International artists the space and time to work on their proposed projects, experiment with their current practice and try out new artistic strategies.
The Guesthouse residency programme is open to visual artists, film-makers, sound artists, Composers, researchers, collaborative groups, curators and enthusiastic chefs to facilitate and encourage innovation, experimentation, collaboration and cross-disciplinary exchange.

Selected artists will have access to workspace, equipment and facilities at the Guesthouse and opportunities to meet and engage with other practitioners.

Artists are facilitated with a loft apartment with a double bedroom and living area with two pull out single beds. It has a kitchenette and bathroom downstairs. The residency does not have a separate designated studio/workshop, but within the apartment we have a space suitable for computer or desk based work. Residencies can vary in duration and are on average one month long.
The space is free of charge but we encourage residents to contribute to the programme by offering to host a lunch, do a presentation, workshop, performance or exhibition. Donations of work from resident artists are gratefully accepted and will assist in the much needed support for the ongoing costs of running The Guesthouse.
